SOIL:
Super Buck is best planted in a well-prepared seedbed. A soil test is always recommended for best performance. Ph levels below 5.6 and above 7.5 will reduce seed performance. Amend appropriately.
SEEDING:
Seed may be drilled or broadcast at 40 lbs. per acre. If drilling, set depth to no lower than ¼ inch. If broadcasting, the use of a cultipacker is recommended. Seeding just prior to rain helps ensure good establishment. Disking is not recommended, as this may bury the seed too deep to allow proper germination.
Fertility:
Fertilizing at time of planting will help establishment and faster root growth.
